Frequently Asked Questions
What's the best flooring for homes with large windows and lots of natural sunlight?
Homes with abundant natural light benefit from flooring that's durable and resistant to fading. Luxury vinyl, tile, and many engineered hardwood products perform well, while selecting the right finish and color can help your floors maintain their appearance over time.
Is hardwood or luxury vinyl better for my home?
Both are excellent flooring options. Hardwood offers timeless beauty and long-term value, while luxury vinyl provides outstanding durability, waterproof performance, and easier maintenance. We'll help you compare both during your consultation.
Can flooring be installed over existing tile?
In some situations, yes. It depends on the condition, height, and stability of the existing tile floor. During your consultation, we'll evaluate your current flooring and recommend the best installation method for lasting performance.
Which flooring is easiest to maintain?
Luxury vinyl and tile are among the easiest flooring materials to maintain because they resist moisture, stains, and everyday wear. Regular sweeping and occasional mopping are typically all that's needed to keep them looking their best.
How do I know when it's time to replace my flooring?
Visible wear, deep scratches, cracked tile, water damage, loose flooring, stains that won't come out, or outdated styles are all signs it may be time for an upgrade. Replacing worn flooring can improve both the appearance and comfort of your home.
Do you offer flooring for both homes and businesses?
Yes. Carpet Source USA provides flooring selection and professional installation for residential and commercial properties throughout Placitas and the surrounding communities, with solutions tailored to each project's specific needs.

We have several homes here in Albuquerque. We have used CarpetSource for our carpeting and tile floors for several years. Don Lovato and his employees are fast, courteous and reliable. The carpeting and tile is great quality. We highly recommend CarpetSource for all your flooring needs.

Every part of our interaction/experience with CS has been outstanding. Don, the owner is honest, friendly and available. Good pricing. Jorge, assigned to our job, was the best worker we've experienced- on time, friendly, hard working, skilled, meticulous. He knows his craft. The scheduler, Eppie, is also professional and friendly and very responsive. We are nothing short of impressed with the whole of CS operations. Would recommend them to everyone.

Beginning with our first phn call with Eppy, we had an exceptional experience with Carpet Source. Dillion is a very professional and well informed salesman, with great taste. He helped us make our carpet and flooring selection after listening to our likes, dislikes, and after looking at our home design. The installation crew was meticulous. We just had new drywall and baseboards installed and painted. Andrew and his crew made every effort to avoid damaging the work. This part of our home renovation has been flawless. The best part is, they came to us with the samples and quotes. We never had to go into a showroom or warehouse. The salesman, saw our home first hand. We'll definitely call Carpet Source again when we start our bathroom renovation! (The pictures don't do it justice) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I'm very happy with my carpet purchase from Carpet Source. Don arrived to give me an estimate and was very polite and non pressuring. The one man crew arrived as scheduled and did a great job installing. I've had it about 2 months now and am very happy with the feel and quality. It was over $2k less expensive than other sources!
